The horror film ‘Personal Shopper’ recently released is all about some mysterious incidents in the fashion underworld. This French film was filmed in 2015 and shot in locations across Paris, London and the cities of Czech Republic.
Most importantly, it was also shot in some specific locations in Oman, namely Muscat, Nizwa and Bahla.
“Personal Shopper” attracted the movie lovers while being shot in Oman that sparked a blaze of publicity and a boost to Oman’s efforts to emerge as a strong contender as a shooting location for movie producers worldwide.
Mohahammed al Shukaili, a cinema lover, expressed his admiration and said, “Am really enthusiastic to see this movie. However, we don’t know when it will be shown in the theatres here.”
“From the trailer, I saw some features of my country like the heritage architecture and some landscapes of Oman.” Al Shukaili added
This film is directed by Olivier Assayas and has Hollywood actress Kristen Stewart in the star cast. It has won in three awards and one nomination. In 2016, the film won an award for the Best Director (Olivier Assayas) at the Cannes Film Festival as was also tied-up with Cristian Mungiu for Graduation. Olivier Assayas was also nominated for the “Palme d’Or” award
Kristen Stewart won the global award as the Best Actress at Oaxaca FilmFest, MX.
In the beginning of this year 2017, the film won OFCS Award as the Best Non-US release at Online Film Critics Society Awards.
