NIZWA, Oct 1 - A blood donation campaign was organised recently by the Faculty of Applied Sciences, Nizwa, represented by Your Safety (Salamatak) Group. It was organised in cooperation with the Nizwa Hospital blood bank.
The campaign was aimed at strengthening the role of the college and its members towards the local community, as well as educating students about the importance of donating blood and saving lives.
The campaign saw a good response from students and the faculty, and members of the administration.
Umayma bint Saleh al Batrani, head of Salamatak Group and a student, said the group regularly holds such campaigns for students as well as awareness programmes.
She said such campaigns lend clarity to the group and contribute to the definition of its role of serving for the common good.
