Muscat: Careem, leading ride-hailing app in the Middle East and North Africa, launched its services in Oman today.

The company has signed an agreement under which Marhaba taxi, one of the two licensed taxi companies, will be now available through Careem platform.

“Customers will be able to book the ‘Go+’ car type on the Careem app for an on- demand taxi. Careem will handle all components of the service from matching the customer to their ride, to dispatching taxis, to customer service, payment and marketing. The service will be priced in line with general Marhaba Taxi rates - fares will start at Ro1.25,” the company said.
