When we say “solar home”, we mean all applications that can convert solar energy to any form of energy that meets our daily needs within the home.

How about the transformation of our homes from energy-consuming homes to energy-producing homes by the acquisition of solar powered devices? Have you ever thought of reducing or even getting rid of high electricity bills from electricity companies?

Since we are used to the fact that electricity can meet all the needs we want inside the house, the first thing that comes to our minds is why do we need it and how much does it cost to provide our houses by these solar power applications.

Can we really succeed in using solar energy applications at our homes and shortened the problem of high electricity bills within the recent events and with a totally safe way for the environment?!!

Well, Solar energy is one of the most important sources of renewable energy or energy that is never implemented, and it is a continuous energy that can always be obtained without any hindrance. That is very suitable for us in the Gulf thanks to the deserts hot nature and sunny weather always.

Solar energy is the light and heat emitted from the sun to which humans have harnessed their interest since ancient times using a combination of constantly evolving technologies. Solar energy technologies include the use of solar thermal energy for direct heating, mechanical process of electrical movement or energy, photovoltaic power generation using photovoltaic panels, as well as architectural designs that rely on solar energy, technologies that can contribute significantly to the solution Some of the world’s most pressing problems today.

The Minister of Education “’Madeeha alsheibani” said, “The project contributes to the use of renewable energy from the local environment to reduce emissions of greenhouse gases and harmful to the environment.”

Shell Oman Development Company has recently celebrated the launch of the first three solar schools in the Sultanate.

“Solar Energy in Schools” is one of the pillars of the Social Investment Initiative “Shell Gift for the Nation”, in which Shell has trained a number of small and medium-sized enterprises and awarded contracts to install solar systems in 22 schools across the Sultanate over the next few years. The Um Al Fadl Nizwa School, the Sultan Qaboos Balabri School and the Khawla Bint Al Hakim School in Salalah are the first three solar schools in the Sultanate.

If the whole school can be operated by the solar energy, can’t we operate our houses by this type of energy!!

Some people would say “ No we can’t. It is expensive, demanding and requires experts! “

Ok, then I would happily mention a whole village in Al Bidiyah where I visited once a friend. They all agreed to use the solar energy to lighten the outside fences around houses. People nowadays have raised their way of thinking and awareness among using solar energy at homes. One of my family has shown an ideal attitude towards implementing solar energy at his home. He used many applications at operating electric machines like fridges, cooker and lights inside house. He used them too in the internal garden. He said “ I am happy to use different applications and ideas operated by the solar energy. I happy with the electricity bills I received the recent months. I started by reading about solar applications and visited shops sell them and I choose what is suitable for my house and I can buy easily too. “

Solar energy is sustainable. It is also renewable. It is an energy that is not implemented. It is a natural energy source that can be used to generate other forms of energy. It can be used as fuel for cars. It can also be used to burn water or light our homes.

Through the use of solar panels we can generate electricity from our own source and thus allow us to abandon the public electricity grid. In other words, we will not be in need of electricity companies to save electricity, nor will we have to pay electricity bills. Yusif Zahir Mohammed alsalmi, studies member and general supervisor at the general directorate of education in albatinah south said,” we as specialists, have manufactured solar powered devices and presented models of them in the practical workshop of solar energy and technology at the Observatory of Astronomy. I have noticed the beginning of the awareness and the popularity of people recently in the use of solar energy applications, which became accessible to everyone. And the highest prices became available to all where prices started from 20 rials up to higher prices depending on the size and importance of the tool. of the latest technologies we have recently developed is an initial model, which is the cells that follow the sun, saving time and gathering higher and stronger energy in less time. “

Thanks to such people interested in this field, we can make a change in our life. Just start with reading about these solar equipment and applications or go to the nearest shop for selling these tools.

The sun and solar energy are the most important energy on earth, and the importance of solar energy is important for the continuation of life. It is the main cause of the production of many renewable sources of energy, such as wind energy and water energy on Earth.

Just ask yourself “ Is it difficult to buy for instance an external light with a solar cell panel by 30 Omani rials and keep electricity bills low for months or even years and benefit from people experiences with using solar energy devices at homes!! Or do you prefer to stay away from all of these technologies and keep paying money for consuming electricity and polluting the environment and never try to make difference?!!

Does it deserve a try at least within the high demanding coming days in the electricity fields?!
