MUSCAT: Sayyid Saud bin Hilal al Busaidy, Minister of State and Governor of Muscat, received in his office on Wednesday Lt Commander Francesco Pagnotta, Commanding Officer of the Italian vessel Carabiniere who is currently visiting the Sultanate. The two sides reviewed distinguished existing relations of cooperation between the two friendly countries and means of promoting them. They also exchanged viewpoints and issues of common concern. The Governor of Muscat gave a briefing to the guest on the role being carried out by the Governorate of Muscat in serving the community, as well as its renowned historic and civilised landmarks. The Italian guest expressed his thanks and appreciation for the warm welcome and generous hospitality. He hailed the qualitative, civilised leap being witnessed by the Sultanate. He underlined the pioneering role being pursued by His Majesty Sultan Qaboos in cementing relations of cooperation with countries around the world.
