MUSCAT: A book by Patricia Groves (pictured) titled Anantara Al Jabal Al Akhdar: The Story of a Unique Mountaintop Resort was released by Mohammed bin Nasser al Rasbi, Secretary-General of the Ministry of Defence, on Tuesday at Ministry of Defence Pension Fund premises. The book is of three parts. The first part deals with the vision that led to the establishment of the resort and the goals of its foundation, while the second part contains a brief description of the construction phases of the resort and challenges, while the third part explains the steps taken to ensure the participation of local people in the construction of the resort through small and medium enterprises. Al Rasbi said the pension fund’s investments aim to contribute to the economic development of country. Author Groves praised the resort which will promote tourism in the country as well as diversify the sources of income of the fund. The resort will stimulate development and provide jobs to young Omanis, and support small and medium-sized enterprises.
