Book about life in Harmel village launched

MUSCAT: Welfagang Amedeus Morges has documented a book about the village of Harmel in Muscat. The book contains pictures of the village located between the mountains and the seabed.
The book was launched at Bait Al Zubair under the auspices of the Omani Friendship Society of Switzerland.
The book comes in a photographic collection that details the life in the
village and combines the facts of life both past and the present.
The citizens refuse to quit fishing as a profession in which they were born and grew up with.
People of Harmel still deal with the alphabets of the repair of fishing nets in a language that residents of Harmel only understand.
The Society was launched in Muscat in October 2016, with the aim of providing a platform for deepening bilateral exchanges between Oman and Switzerland in areas such as economy,
science, education, tourism and sports, as well as the deepening and building new friendships between Omanis and Swiss.
Wolfen Morges thanked the organisers of the association, especially Stefano Lazarito, Ambassador of Switzerland, to the Sultanate, for their efforts in publishing this book.
