MUSCAT: Ahmed Mohammed al Mannai, Director-General of Bahrain News Agency (BNA), visited media institutions in the Sultanate, namely the Public Authority of Radio and Television (PART), Oman Establishment for Press, Publication and Advertising (OEPPA) and Oman News Agency (ONA).
The BNA Director-General and his accompanying delegation met with Nasser bin Sulaiman al Sibani, PART Deputy Chairman, during their visit to the PART building.
Then, they visited the OEPPA during which they met with Saif bin Saud al Mahrouqi, Acting CEO of the OEPPA and Editor-in-Chief of Oman Arabic newspaper. Abdullah bin Salim al Shueili, Editor-in-Chief of Oman Daily Observer, was also present.
They also visited ONA and met with Dr Mohammed bin Mubarak al Araimi, ONA Director-General, Editor-in-Chief.
Means of enhancing cooperation between BNA and these institutions in the fields of exchanging news, photos and training and exchanging working cadres were discussed during the meetings.
The Bahraini guest and his accompanying delegation viewed work progress in these institutions and got familiarised with the work systems in developing media work and means of upgrading such systems. — ONA
