Bausher sewage project begins

MUSCAT: Haya Water has begun the work on Bausher 1 project that aims to establish waste water and treated water networks. The total cost of the project is RO 7 million and it has been awarded to Ghantoot Transport and General Construction Company. Khalid bin Hasan al Lawati, Projects Acting General Manager, said that Bausher 1 is one of the major projects in the wilayat due to the high-rise buildings that have come up during the last decade. By this project, the company will connect 527 plots, including residential, commercial and government entities. Al Lawati added that the project will also connect the new Oman Mall and Al Sadeeq Al Ameen Mosque.


“The project will consist of sewage networks with a total length of 23 km and the treated water lines of 5.7 km. The purpose of the project is to facilitate collection of sewer flows from the existing and proposed buildings of the area and to consolidate the collected sewer flows to Al Ansab Sewage Treatment Plant safely and in an environmental friendly manner. The total length of the sewage networks, either the completed or under construction, is 556 km. The networks connect around 12,199 plots, residential, commercial and governmental institutions. Furthermore, the length of treated water networks is 134 km. The length of the future projects sewage networks till 2045 is 2518 km and the length of the treated water networks is 302 km.
