Bank Muscat highlights role of technology in shaping customer experience

MUSCAT: Bank Muscat, the flagship financial services provider in the Sultanate, highlighted the latest technological developments shaping the future of customer experience at the Technology Evolution and Customer Experience conference held at the bank’s head office.


Talal Suleiman al Rahbi, Deputy Secretary General of The Supreme Council for Planning, was the guest of honour at the conference attended by dignitaries, and a large turn-out of key banking, technology and industry representatives.


Drawing on the success of the series of Technology Evolution conference launched in 2014, the third edition of the conference came as part of efforts by the Bank aimed at sharing insights on the unprecedented advances in technology shaping customer experience.

Technology and customer relations experts addressed the conference, spotlighting the rapidly changing technology enhancing customer experience.


Mark Stevenson, Author, Futurist and Thinker, made a presentation on the ‘Future of Customer Experience’. The conference was addressed by experts from Gartner, American International Group (AIG), Ernst and Young, RAK Bank and IBM, who highlighted the latest developments, including data analytics and the vital role of technology in driving customer experience in alignment with the changing business and market dynamics.


The speakers included Gene Phfifer from Gartner, Ben Hamersly from AIG, Andreas Skopal from Ernst & Young, Sanjay Khanna from RAK Bank and Olga Parra from IBM. Anfal al Hooti and Muttasim al Shandudi representing a group of young Omani innovators also addressed the conference.
