MUSCAT: As part of its belief in supporting the local community through various CSR initiatives, namely the environment, BankDhofar launched its environmental initiative “Go Green” with BankDhofar.
Commenting on launching the initiative Ahmed Said al Ibrahim, General Manager & Chief Corporate Services Officer, noted: “At BankDhofar, we prioritize issues that can make the greatest impact to the environment as well as to the society. Stemming from our belief that having a sustainable environment secures the future of the coming generations, we launched “Go Green” with BankDhofar initiative.”
The initiative aims at contributing in preserving the environment through a number of initiatives including recycling, clean-ups, among other environmental initiatives. BankDhofar believes that sustaining the environment guarantees a brighter future for the coming generations.
Within the same frame work, BankDhofar signed MoU with Apex Press and Publishing to support the paper recycling awareness campaign. The campaign aims at creating awareness regarding recycling within the Omani society. Being the largest campaign involving the maximum number of people in Oman till date, the recycling campaign covers over 460 entities including schools, colleges, universities, ministries and corporates.
CSR is an important pillar of BankDhofar’s operations; environment element, community development and social have always been among the priorities and interests of the Bank.
