Muscat: Oman International Logistic Group 'Asyad' today unveiled four projects that won hosting at "Ibhar" incubator; the first logistic incubator in the Sultanate that targets startups at the logistic sector. The initiative is launched by Asyad in cooperation with the Public Authority for SMEs Development 'Riyada' and Al Rafd Fund.

Of the 91 projects that applied, four projects were selected according to a number of criteria including the practicality of the project, the needs of the market, the economic and financial feasibility and the number of jobs that will be created by the project.

The hosting agreements with the startups were signed by Badr bin Mohammed al Nadabi, Head of the Support Unit of Asyad and project mangers of the winning projects, namely Said Salem al Abri of Zakaa Logistics, Qais bin Mohamed al Jadyani from Baskom, Lo'ai bin Juma al Manthri from We Clean and Jamal Seif al Muqbali from Sindbad.

"Ibhar" incubator focuses on four main fields in the logistic sector namely services, manufacturing, innovation and the technical field. The incubator provides the hosted projects with the required support to ensure their sustainability such as conducting feasibility study, providing business, administrative, marketing and technical advice and helping drafting the necessary strategy for each project. It also provides office spaces for the hosted projects. --ONA
