An army official lost his life and another injured on Friday during relief operations in cyclone-hit Dhofar Governorate. Corporal Khalid bin Khamis al Sawai of the Royal Army of Oman died and Corporal Ahmed bin Abdullah al Mashari, also of the Royal Army of Oman, was injured during the duty. Armed forces and other government agencies continue to carry out relief operations and help in restoring water, power and communication links in the cyclone hit areas in Salalah, Taqah, Mirbat and Sadah. — ONA
