MUSCAT: The Ministry of Heritage and Culture has recently finished excavations at the Al Shukour heritage site in the Wilayat of Dhank in collaboration with an American mission from Temple University led by Professor Kimberly Williams. Settlements at this site dates back to the 3rd millennium BC to 1st millennium BC. Many archeological discoveries have been made including beads, arrows and stamps. Among the distinctive finds unearthed during the current season is a distinctively decorated container believed to be dating back to the civilization of Al Andalus.
