MUSCAT: The 7th Conference of the Arab Women’s Organization was held under the theme ‘Economic Empowerment of Women and Enhancement of Values of Peace, Justice, and Citizenship’.
The conference, which concluded on Tuesday, was held under the auspices of Shaikh Mohammed bin Said al Kalbani, Minister of Social Development.
In a statement, the minister said: “The Sultanate’s hosting of the 7th Conference of the Arab Women’s Organization is a step forward to provide many visions and proposals for the advancement of Arab women in general.”
He said many Omani women are holding top positions, including as members of National Youth Commission, National Human Rights Commission, besides health, social and military sectors.
