Arab Spine Conference begins today

MUSCAT: The Sultanate, represented by the Ministry of Health (MoH), will host the 4th Arab spine conference from today. The conference will be held under the auspices of Dr Ahmed bin Mohammed al Saeedi, Minister of Health, at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre.


The conference aims at imparting education and updating knowledge of spine and neuro surgeons to be useful for patients with spine disorders.


The three-day conference will highlight the latest advancements and updates regarding spine diseases and surgeries, discussing the management and diagnostic aspects of spinal trauma, fractures and tumours.


The conference will join spinal surgeons, neurosurgery and orthopaedic surgeons, as well as medical and assistant medicals, and health workers in rehabilitation and physiotherapy specialties.


The scientific programme of the conference will present 74 working papers and research through 12 scientific sessions that underline interventional spinal pain therapy, degenerative lumbar spine disease (DLS), minimally invasive spine surgery (MISS) and spondylolisthesis and sacroiliac joint (SIJ), in addition to trauma, tumours and vascular, deformity and spinal infection. — ONA
