Annual camel racing festival to kick off next Wednesday in Adam

Adam: The first race of the annual camel racing festival for the 2018/2019 season, organized by the Royal Camels of the Royal Court Affairs in its 16th season, will take place on Wednesday at Saih Al Saria for camel racing in the Wilayat of Adam in the Governorate of Al Dakhiliyah.  The 2-day race will include 41 races for different categories.

The first day will include 28 races for ‘Al Hajaij’ category for a distance of 2 km and ‘Al Laqaya’ for a distance of 3 km.

On the second day, there will be 13 races, five of them will be devoted to ‘Al yada’ category ,5 for ‘Al Thanaya’ and one race for ‘Al Zamoul’ for 5 km, in addition to two races to ‘Al Ardha’ for ‘Al Thanaya’ and ‘Al Houl’.

It is worth mentioning that the Royal Camels had announced the programme of the annual festival of the 16th camel races for the year 2018/2019, where six races will be held in the Wilayats of Adam, Al Mudhaibi, and Suhar, and various races in the Wilayat of Barka, milking competition, beauti competition, and the competitive race in the Wilayat of Thumrait, as well as the final race of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos Cup at the end of the season in the Wilayat of Barka. –ONA
