MUSCAT Jan 27 A record turnout of visitors has been witnessed at the Muscat Festival, which entered the third week since its opening on January 10. Amerat Park and Naseem Garden, the festival venues, saw a total of 457,581 visitors, which include citizens, residents and tourists.
Naseem Garden recorded an all-time of 205,217 visitors and Amerat Park 228,237 visitors, according to Ali bin Khalfan al Hasani, Assistant Chairman of Media Committee of the Muscat Festival.
The number of visitors to other festival venues touched 24,127.
Meanwhile, a series of events held under the slogan ‘Farah’, which showcase cultural, recreational, family, sports activities and artistic evenings and competitions, have been drawing huge crowds.
Participants from across the country, with skills in business and interest in art and culture, have benefited from these events, according to Ali.
“I was amazed by the number of visitors to the festival grounds. I missed a chance to be present with my brand there,” said Jamsheer Hamza, CEO of Abeer Hospitals, adding he would make it a point to work with the festival committee next time.
