Omanisation: MoM takes action against 161 companies

Muscat, May 14:  The Ministry of Manpower (MoM) has stopped dealing with 161 private sector establishments for their lack of commitment towards employing the Omani workforce.

The ministry said there were 6,959 expatriate workers employed in these establishments, around 40 workers in each establishment, spread across various governorates of the Sultanate. At the same time, they failed to meet the minimum Omanisation percentage.

The Ministry will take necessary measures against enterprises that do not meet the minimum Omanisation percentage of ten per cent.
