Al Jarwani Group, Tamani Intl sign contracts worth RO 22m

MUSCAT: Al Jarwani Group and Tamani International for Development and Investment signed a number of contracts worth RO 22 million to finance the second phase of the Muscat Mall project with a number of banks, in addition to signing a number of contracts with a number of companies to provide communications infrastructure and trademarks in the complex.


Mohammed bin Salim al Toobi, Minister of Environment and Climate Affairs sponsored the signing ceremony in the presence of a number of officials from the government and private bodies at the Sundus Rotana Hotel Muscat.


Minister of Environment and Climate Affairs said that such projects will contribute to the growth of the local economy and provide many jobs for Omanis, either directly or indirectly. He pointed out that the project, when opened, will be an entertainment asset and will contribute to the promotion of tourism in the Sultanate.


Mahmoud bin Mohammed al Jarwani, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Group, said that the contracts signed with a number of banks aimed at financing the second phase which is an extension due to the good demand for the project, stressing that the second phase will be completed in conjunction with the first phase as planned.


The project will provide more than 5,000 direct jobs and 2,000 indirect jobs, creating many unique attractions and recreational facilities.
