Al Hassan donates medical device for Royal Hospital patients

MUSCAT: As a part of Al Hassan Group’s Corporate Social Responsibility, Al Hassan Electricals Co LLC donated breathing assistance device to Royal Hospital. The group also donated Electronic Tablets (25) for pediatric emergency ward as well as painted & decorated the ward with children’s drawings derived from revelations of nature & cartoon characters. This initiative promotes community partnership towards private sector in supporting sustainable development and continuous support that Al Hassan undertakes throughout the Sultanate in various fields especially the Health sector. To support patients from low-income category & provide them social security in terms of necessary medical treatment & medical devices, as well as finding a balance between entertainment & education for children patients of Royal hospital.

The first initiative taken in this regard by Al Hassan Group was to give Electronic Tablets containing educational programs which will help in ensuring balance between developing creative & cognitive abilities in children while also creating leeway for recreation and entertainment during their stay in hospital.


The second initiative was to donate “Breathing assistance device” prescribed for patients who suffer from partial or total interruption of breathing during sleep.

The third initiative was to decorate & paint the pediatric emergency ward of the Hospital with paintings drawn from nature & cartoon characters to touch the feelings of children & which would give them joy & happiness during their stay in hospital.

The launch ceremony was attended by Dr. Qasim bin Ahmed Al Salmi Director General of Royal Hospital, Mr. Maqbool Ali Salman Vice Chairman Al Hassan Group of Companies          along with administrative & medical personnel from Royal Hospital.


With regards to the initiative taken by Al Hassan, General Manager of the Royal Hospital said, “We appreciate Al Hassan Group’s CSR initiatives which on one hand are aimed at consolidating social solidarity and social security concepts to patients from low-income category while on other hand to strengthen the moral aspects of the children of the shrine at the hospital ,” At the same time ,  this initiative also focus on the importance of concerted efforts between the private and public sector  in upgrading system of the health sector, which is reflected in one way or another in the advanced therapeutic services and care that are provided to patients and customers in various health institutions.
