Al Dakhiliyah Municipal Council discusses development

NIZWA, June 7 - The Municipal Council of Al Dakhiliyah held its sixth meeting this year on Tuesday. It was chaired by Saud bin Ali bin Said al Shueili, Deputy Chairman of the council.


After approving proceedings of the previous meeting, the council discussed a proposal to turn Wadi Imti into a natural reserve.


It reviewed the response of the Directorate-General of Regional Municipalities and Water Resources on topics referred to it by the council, including sites for livestock and animal houses, collapse of Falaj Al Bayser in Izki and damage to palm trees. It reviewed a request to establish a link road in Manah.


The council discussed the construction of walls to protect Wadi Ghoul in Al Hamra and Wadi Al Hawb in Samail.


It reviewed regulations for establishing car umbrellas in front of houses besides the establishment of internal roads department in the Directorate of Al Dakhiliyah.


It discussed proposals of the municipal affairs committees in the states. A proposal to add the third and fourth street lines in the double road project of the Al Sahwa Tower in Bidbid was also discussed.


The council reviewed responses received from the Municipal Council Affairs Department on a number of issues discussed in the previous council meetings.
