MUSCAT: The Board of Directors of the Agriculture and Fisheries Development Fund held its 2nd meeting for 2016 under the chair of Dr Fuad bin Jaafar al Sajwani, Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries, Chairman of the Board’s Fund. The Board discussed the implementation of previous decisions, the financial stance and budget of the Executive Management of the Fund for 2017, as well as enhancing financial resources of the Fund and diversifying them. The Board also viewed the final draft of the Fund’s strategy till 2040. Further, the Board also reviewed the executive stance towards ongoing projects, the outcomes achieved and their positive impacts on agriculture and fisheries sectors and their workers. — ONA
