Agricultural nursery project for students launched

Muscat, Jan 2 - An Agricultural Nursery Project was launched for the students of Ayad Bin Zuhair School by Directorate General of Education in North Al Sharqiyah Governorate, represented by the Special Education Department.


It was held under the patronage of Mays bint Abbas bin Asadallah al Bahrania, Assistant Director-General for Special Education and Continuing Education.


The event was attended by Mahmoud bin Saeed al Aghbari, Assistant Director General, Directorate General of Education for Educational Programmes and Educational Calendar, and teachers and parents.


An exhibition was opened for the students of Al Mudhaibi School, which presented traffic safety events as part of its participation in the Shell Road Safety Award.


After inaugurating the nursery, the sponsor spoke about the importance of the project and its benefits. Al Bahrania honoured the companies supporting the project and the students.


Mohsen bin Hamad al Barashi, the head of the Special Education Department of the Educational Programmes Department in North Sharqiyah, said:


“The agricultural nursery project is of great importance to the students. The project is a result of efforts of the special education teachers of Ayad Bin Zuhair School in cooperation with the Special Education Department in the governorate.” He said the project aims to develop the professional aspects of students and boost their self-confidence.
