Agreement to develop tourism potential of Misfat Al Abriyeen

MUSCAT: Bank Muscat signed an agreement to develop the Old Al Misfat in the village of Misfat Al Abriyeen in the Wilayat of Al Hamra in the Governorate of Al Dakhiliyah at a total cost of RO 245,000.
The agreement was signed by Zahir bin Hamad al Riyami, Director General of Tourism Development at the Ministry of Tourism, Shaikha bint Yousef al Farsi, Director of Head of Strategy and Corporate Services at Bank Muscat, and Hosni bin Mubarak al Abri, Chairman of the Board of Directors of local Misfat Company.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Ahmed bin Nasser al Mehrzi, Minister of Tourism, said: “The village of Misfat Al Arbiyeen is considered one of the most important Omani villages rich in cultural tourism.”
He said the ministry carried out a comprehensive study in 2015 and issued recommendations.
