MUSCAT: In line with its commitment to increase energy efficiency in the Sultanate, the Authority for Electricity Regulation (AER) is organising a Certified Energy Auditing training programme for Omani nationals in the energy auditing field. The two-week session aim to qualify trainees to be part of the forthcoming programme for the establishment of the Energy Service Companies (ESCOs) mandated to check and audit government buildings in regards to their energy use and consumption. The sessions are provided by the Association of Energy Engineer (AEE), an American nonprofit professional society.
