MUSCAT: The Public Authority for Electricity and Water strategy targets covering 98 per cent of the population in the Sultanate with potable water. With this vision in mind, the authority has developed an ambitious strategy which covers up to 2040.

This was revealed by the authority, during the launch of its new identity ‘Deem,’ which is part of its constant efforts for development and modernisation.

PAEW said the new institutional identity is the result of a number of factors which led to creating a general perception among customers, staff and society in general about the nature of work carried out by the authority.

The new identity comes in a bid to present the role it plays in supplying high quality and uninterrupted potable water to all citizens and residents in the Sultanate.

The identity also reflects the development stages witnessed by the authority since its establishment in 2007 and its vision which aims at supplying all residents in the Sultanate with high quality potable water.

The authority seeks to focus on customers, efficient operation and development of human resources to stand at par with similar international organisations.

The blue colour symbolises the potable water supplied by the authority and green symbolises purity and health, which are realised after having high quality potable water.

The new identity also has many reflections, such as being open to development, professionalism, transparency, freshness, charming nature, and happiness. — ONA
