912 Omani students study in Australia

MUSCAT: As many as 912 Omani students study in Australia on scholarship-basis in various specialisations in Melbourne, Sydney, Canberra, Perth, Brisbane and Adelaide.
Omani students number in New Zealand has reached 170 most of them are based in Auckland, Dunedin and Hamilton.
Dr Hamad bin Ali al Alawi, Consul-General of Oman in Australia, said that the universities of Australia and New Zealand have a good academic reputation and a multitude of disciplines. Studying abroad is a useful experience involving many positives.
For successful experience, the students should be capable of good planning and they should be ready to cope with various challenges. For instance, when it comes to information collection about universities and higher education systems in Australia and New Zealand, international students have to rely on themselves.
