MUSCAT: Dr Madeeha bint Ahmed al Shaibaniyah, Minister of Education, on Tuesday approved the results of the general education diploma (GED) first semester examinations for the academic year 2017-2018. The results will be available at 4 pm tomorrow through SMS via Omantel and Ooredoo or by sending a message containing the index number to 90200. As many as 41,619 students sat for the examinations in the regular GED and the success rate registered 80.90 per cent. The success rate for the GED (bilingual private schools) was 91.17 per cent, GED for the Royal Guard Technical College registered a pass rate of 100 per cent and the Islamic studies registered a 98.86-per cent pass rate.
