79,177 e-licences for expatriates approved since June 2016

MUSCAT: The total number of expatriate recruitment licences, whose applications and fees have been processed electronically through the Ministry of Manpower website since the mandatory activation of the system in June 2016, stood at 79,177. The statistics of the Ministry of Manpower pointed out that the number of those who process their applications electronically is growing and that the number of those who attend the ministry’s HQs to process their transactions is declining. The highest number of applications was received from Muscat (24,488), followed by North Al Batinah (14,280), South Al Sharqiyah (6,865), Al Dakhiliyah (6,612), Dhofar (6,213), South Al Batinah (5,920), Al Dhahirah (5,663), North Al Sharqiyah (5,508), Al Buraimi (2,249), Al Wusta (930) and Musandam (449). — ONA
