Something that can only be said to be a “heavenly” experience, Northern Lights or Aurora Borealis is a rare phenomenon that can’t be compared to much else. Although unlimited photos of the phenomenon float on the Internet, nothing can truly capture what the naked eye can see.
The northern lights are formed by collisions between gaseous particles in the Earth’s atmosphere with charged particles released from the sun’s atmosphere. Variations in colour are due to the type of gas particles that are colliding. All you need is a camera that allows you to set ISO, shutter speed and aperture. Preferred ISO will depend on your camera capabilities, lens, and strength or Aurora.

The stones are so tightly fit you can’t even fit a blade between them. It is also a testament to the structural integrity of the site that it still stands, through earthquakes, constant torrential rain and not the footfall of thousands of tourists every year. Make sure to take plenty of pictures because you’ll want to relive these memories for the rest of your life.

Imagine a relaxed breakfast in your bungalow sipping on coffee and eating some fresh fruit, all the while looking down at a sheer glass panel below that gives you a beautiful view of the underwater world! Expect to see colourful fish and other marine creatures glide below your thatched-roof accommodation as you gaze into the gorgeous depths. In addition to this, most will have direct water access. Be sure to splurge if you can, while every overwater bungalow you come across will be comfortable and will offer a beautiful experience, that extra touch of luxury can make all the difference.
