Parking charges at Muscat Airport terminal revised

MUSCAT, May 15 - Parking charges at the Muscat International Airport passenger terminal have been revised by Oman Airports. In the details issued on Tuesday, the airport said that for the first 30 minutes, it will continue to be 500 baisas, while it has been reduced to RO 1 for the 30 minutes to one hour period.


For parking at the airport between one and two hours, it will be RO 1, followed by RO 3 for two to three hours, RO 5 for three to four hours, RO 6 for four to five hours, RO 7 for five to six hours, RO 10 for six to nine hours, RO 15 for nine to 12 hours and RO 24 for 12 to 24 hours.


No changes have been announced for long-stay parking at the airport.


The Oman Airports has officially cited that nearly 8,000 parking slots are available at the new passenger terminal at Muscat International Airport. This include both short- and long-term parking slots.


However, the parking fees for a time between 12 to 24 hours remains the same, RO 24, according to the spokesperson.


Long term parking, from one day to any number of days, remains the same.


“However, there are some packages for those who are willing to pay for certain hours and this service can be had at the airport parking counter or parking attendants available at the parking area.’


He further said that payment of car park charges can be made at the automated ticket machines available at each car park exit which accept local currency. Car parking attendants are available 24 hours a day to offer assistance with any enquiries.
