MUSCAT: The Ministry of Manpower in a statement on Wednesday said that during the period from 1 to 15 January, 2,097 citizens were appointed in various private sector establishments. This is in continuation of efforts exerted by all government and private organisations to provide opportunities for job-seekers, as approved by the Council of Ministers to provide 25,000 jobs for citizens. The ministry said that the appointed include 1,034 male and female citizens with certificates below General Education Diploma, along with 673 male and females with the GED and 381 men and women with university diploma or university degree.
