MUSCAT: The Research Council, in cooperation with the German non-for-profit Falling Walls Foundation, announced the names of the contenders who have qualified for the finals of the competition which will be held in Berlin in November this year. The names of the winners were announced at a ceremony held on Monday under the auspices of HH Sayyida Dr Mona bint Fahd al Said, Assistant Vice-Chancellor for International Cooperation at Sultan Qaboos University (SQU). Two projects, conducted by two Omani students one of them made it possible to produce fuel from biological waste and the other one is a digital farm, have qualified out of 151 students’ projects of which 20 projects were shortlisted. Three of these projects were honoured by TRC yesterday after they were named the best projects in the final judging phase.
